Antoinette Denise Betsill, 53, affectionately known as Toni, was born on November 29, 1971, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Eleanor Crenshaw Betsill and the late Arthur D. Betsill. She went home to be with the Lord, peacefully, on Saturday, May 10, 2025, after a 4-year battle with cancer.
Toni attended the Pittsburgh Public schools and graduated from Brashear High School in 1989. She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in 1994 and then continued to receive her master’s degree from Point Park University in 2016.
Toni worked for PNC Bank, Carnegie Mellon University and GAI Consultants. She received Christ as her personal savior and was baptized; she made Mt. Ararat Baptist Church which is located in the East Liberty section of Pittsburgh her church home and was a dedicated member.
Toni loved bowling and was a member of the Hazelwood Jr. Bowlers and the Weekenders Bowling League. She was a mentor for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program. She loved watching tennis, football and basketball and enjoyed music, attending concerts, spending time with her best friends forever (BFF's) and loved being around her family.
Toni is preceded in death by her father Arthur Betsill, maternal grandparents John Crenshaw and Dorothy Crenshaw, paternal grandparents James L. Betsill and Florence Betsill, aunts, Laverne Dorsey, Joyce Betsill and Frances Walker, uncles, James, Lawrence and John Betsill and John (Sonny) Crenshaw and long-time love, Ahmed Ali Awad Lopez.
Toni leaves to cherish their memories, her son, Alexander Tayron Lopez, mother, Eleanor Betsill, sister, Amberly Denise Betsill, nephew, Aidan Deion Betsill, great-aunt, Gloria Kelley, uncle, Donald Richardson, aunts, Polly Crenshaw, Denise Alexander-Washington, Bertha (Dolly) Richardson, Shirlena Betsill, Diane Betsill, Victoria Betsill, June Ridley and Helen Nelson.
Her besties for many years will miss her dearly, Kelli, Ericka, Dani, Dawn, Tip Tip, Kenie, Tawanda, Twin (Tiffers), senior bestie, Debbie K., junior bestie, Jamilla, sister-friend, Sherry and work-wife, Jessica, and a host of cousins and friends.
