Ethel Marie (McKinney) Massie

Ethel Marie Massie, 89, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania peacefully transitioned to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. She was the daughter of the late James A. McKinney and the late Ethel L. Powell-McKinney. Ethel was the last of all of her siblings that had all passed before her. She was united in marriage to Sidney Damon Massie. In her later years of life, she enjoyed reading Daily Devotionals and most of her enjoyment came when she spent time praying for all of her eleven children. She would never hesitate to share advice with any and all of her children when they call her. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and attended and graduated from Pittsburgh Public School, Schenley High School. During her employment years she worked at the Hill House Association which is located in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. Ethel Marie Massie was loved by her family and leaves to mourn her loss, her children, Rosemarie (Eddie Dean) Massie-Gaines, Reverend Dr. Lloyd (Tani) Massie, Sandra Massie, Annamarie Massie, Caroline (Ernest) Massie-Harvey, Harold Massie, Danyette Massie, Neil Massie, Darla Jean Massie, Victoria Massie, along with a host of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Ethel is preceded in death by her daughter, Sheila Massie Baulding, siblings, Raleigh McKinney, Thomas McKinney, Herbert McKinney, William McKinney, Earl McKinney, James McKinney, Mary McKinney, Annabelle McKinney-McGee and Carrie McKinney-McGee, her late husband Sidney Damon-Massie.
