Jean R. Smith

Jean R. Smith, 84, of Rankin, Pennsylvania, passed away at her home on Thursday, August 15, 2024. Jean was the daughter of the late Andrew Buefort and late Irene Parker.  Jean became a member of First Baptist Church on October 17, 2021, where she served faithfully as a Church Usher and volunteered to assist in our Ministries until her health began to fail. Jean enjoyed going fishing, baking, and volunteering at the Rankin Christian Center and Braddock Community Center. She was a matriarch of her family, which she was the eldest for five generations. 

Jean R. Smith leaves to mourn her loss, two sons, Ronald (Lisa) Smith and John Smith, grandchildren, Brandice, Kristopher, Mike, Ebony, Jalaina, Nakia, Shielah, Mitchell and Ron Jr., eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as a host of family and friends. Jean is preceded in death by her brothers, Andrew Buefort Jr., Leonard Buefort, Howard Buefort and Theodore Buefort and sister, Minnie McCuthen.
