Keyona Marie Taliaferro-Fossett, “Kim”, 35, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away suddenly on June 10, 2026. Kim was the daughter of the late George Taliaferro and the late Towanda Fossett, as well as her loving stepfather the late Earl Peters.
Keyona gave her life to the Lord and was baptized at Lighthouse Cathedral in 2021.
Kim attended and graduated from Carrick High School and also and attended Empire Beauty Academy. Her passion was for children; she loved to support the football teams of the “Raiders” and the “Homewood Bulldogs”. Her true love was being a hairstylist, and she considered herself a fashionista.
Kim held many hats, she was a mother, niece, auntie, rapper, dancer, cook and life of the party. Her goal was to make sure everyone around her enjoyed themselves and she was determined to make you laugh.
Her employment ranged from working at Modern Hair and supporting the after-school program.
Keyona is loved and will be missed by her family dearly. She is survived by her children, Kamarie Dawkins and Kison Peters, siblings, Marquasha, Wanda, Chantell, Tashey, Cierra, Whitney, Naomi, Gerald Jr., Earl Jr., Eric, KeShawn and Trey, as well as a host of extended family, Serenity, Jamarr Jr., Pershea, Niajah, Naukeya, Shakeya and Dessa, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and very close friends.
Keyona Fossett is preceded in death by her parents, George Taliaferro, Towanda Fossett and Earl Peters, as well as her grandparents.
