Lawrence Oliver Campbell

Lawrence Oliver Campbell, affectionately known as "Jimmy Trip," formally of Braddock, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Lawrence was born on Friday, April 1, 1949, to the late Maggie L. Henderson-Campbell and Johnny Sharp. A skilled bricklayer by trade, he took great pride in his work and the craftsmanship he left behind.

Known to family and friends simply as "Trip," he had a larger-than-life personality and a memorable sense of humor. He often joked that he was "internationally known." Trip also took immense pride in his appearance. Whether dressed for a special occasion or simply out and about, he was sharp as a tack. His hats and style became a part of who he was, leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carrie and John Henderson, his parents, Maggie Henderson-Campbell and Johnny Sharp; his beloved siblings, Fredrick Henderson, Rita Campbell, Ester Campbell, Leo Campbell, and Connie Campbell.

Lawrence is survived by his sisters, Carrie Epps and Jessica Campbell; his brothers, Barry Johnson and Darrell Campbell along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a very special friend and caregiver, Kemi Salako.
