Lester Bridges

We remember Lester Bridges, 83, who was born on January 28, 1943, in Hamilton, Georgia, who passed away on February7, 2026. Lester was the son of the late Nathan Bridges Sr. and late Nellie A. Williams-Bridges.

After moving to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he devoted his life to construction, and was known for his kindness, humor, and eagerness to help others, he loved to share a laugh and enjoyed to dance.

Lester leaves to cherish his precious memories, his companion, Alice Hill, son, Michael, grandchildren, great-children, along with a beautiful granddaughter, who cared for him in his final years, He was one of fifteen children with six of  his siblings who are still surviving him, Johnnie B. Bridges of Georgia, George (Marjorie) Bridges of Ohio, Nathan Bridges Jr. of Georgia, Fannie Mason of Georgia, Emma Harvey of Pennsylvania, Martha (Charlie) Fannin of Georgia, as well as nieces and nephews. He shared a life-long bond and special memories that will always remain.

Lester is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Bridges, daughter, Michelle Hill-Moore, siblings, Vorn C, William, Thomas, Rosa Diggs, Carrie Harris, Vera Williams, Maddie Dozier and Coreen Walker.

His laughter and love of family along with his steadfast spirit will always be remembered.
