London Jackson Riveria, 8, was born on January 17, 2014, Uniontown, Pennsylvania. When she was born, she was
diagnosed with having a hole in her heart. London was life flighted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania the next day. Later we found out she was diagnosed with down syndrome. The doctor's told her family that she was deaf. She stayed
in the NICU until mid-February. She had many doctor’s appointments. At six months death knocked on her door multiple times but she beat it each time along with God's help. No matter what was going on London always had a smile on her face. London would hug you and had so much joy. She showed the love of God. Her life was a sermon and testament to God within itself. Everyone she met she loved purely. She was a giver and brought life everywhere she went, even at times when it seemed like she herself didn't have much life or time left. To know her was to love her. To know see life through her eyes was undeniably life changing to
everyone who had the pleasure and honor of knowing her. She was a fighter and soldier. She fought the good fight and was always persistent. When she wanted something, she was relentless in her pursuit to get it done, she walked to her own beat. London always saw the goodness of life through her own lenses. If it was as simple as making a dress to her blanket and dancing in the living room in total freedom, as if she was in her own world. The Bible says out of the mouth of babes. And some could say by the simplicity of babes some of the most challenging truths and trials for us as adults, if paying close attention could be so much simplified. London was a teacher. If you paid attention, she taught you how to live being grateful, cherishing and living to the fullest every moment. She attended Mifflin Elementary School; she was adored by all the staff and fellow students. Her hobbies were coloring, dancing, cleaning, taking car rides anywhere, she felt like she was in heaven especially if she had someone to fuss with. Unexpectedly, on September 1, 2022, with her family surrounding her, she departed from this side and entered her heavenly home.
She is survived by her mom, Frincellar Jackson, father, Johnny Riveria, bonus dad, Richard, siblings, Israel, Cathryn, Bishop, Christian, Hector, Syier, Deanna, Christina and LaTisha, grandmothers, Angela and Cathryn, great-grandmother, Jean, uncles, Howard, Anthony, Michael (Fern), Ashley (Audrey) and Israel, a
host of cousins, Godparents, Elder Marcus (Jessica), Tosha, Tina, Minister Evelyn (Deacon Rick) and last but not least her Lighthouse Cathedral family. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Angelo Jackson and Aunt Linda.
