Mia Lenia Scott

Mia Lenia Scott, 41, passed away unexpectedly in the early morning of Monday, April 15, 2024. Mia was born at St. Francis Hospital on September 22, 1982, to Telicia Scott and James Washington. Mia was raised by her grandmother Anna and grandfather Daddy Tim. She received her high school diploma from Carrick High School. She went on to receive her medical billing and coding certificate, patient care technician certificate as her bartending license. Mia welcomed her daughter Cierra in 2000 followed by her son Amari in 2004. She went on to begin a relationship with Bryan Spell Sr. and gave birth to her son Bryan Spell Jr. in 2010. Mia was an active member in the community and always kept the neighborhood kids entertained. Mia had an extreme love for food and wasn't afraid to try anything new or unusual. Her palate was quite extensive. She also loved to participate in various crafts, a hobby she inherited from her grandfather. Some of her favorite things were plants, candles and her love for Lil Wayne. Although Mia appeared to have a vigorous exterior, she was in fact a very sensitive, warm-hearted loving individual. She will be missed by her daughter, Cierra Edwards, sons, Amari Scott and Bryan Spell Jr., grandchildren, Denver, Khi'laa and Nash, parents, aunts, uncles, host of cousins and close friends.
