Michael E. Hawkins, Sr.

Michael E. Hawkins, Sr., 62, was born on February 17, 1961 to the late Elmer Hawkins and Joann
Jackson in San Antonio, Texas. Michael studied and graduated from John A. Brashear High
School in the class of 1979 in the Pittsburgh Public Schools School District where he
participated in track and field.
Michael’s hobbies included art, cooking, drawing, painting. His interests also included listening to
an eclectic variety of music, watching movies, sports, and wrestling. Michael had several jobs
throughout his life such as working in the autobody shop, Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, UPS and working at the Three
Rivers Stadium.
He leaves to cherish the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Clara Johnson-Hawkins, five children, Tinisha Hawkins-Brockman, Michael Hawkins Jr., Clarisha Hawkins, Marcel
Hawkins and Arobia Dawkins Jr., grandchildren, Ja’Quan Brockman, Makiah Jones, Jeremiah
Hawkins, Jameisha Brockman, Tinisha Brockman II, Imirah Dawkins, C'Elmira Halsel, Justus
Brockman, Deon Hawkins, Jey’Cion Dawkins and Kion Hawkins, great-grandchild,
My’Ziere, siblings, Angela Maneice, Dawn Lisa Maneice, Bruce Burrel, Joanne and Jose
Capetillo, Reminda Nikki Pearson, Monica Hawkins, special cousin, Michael Turner and a
host of other family, friends and loved ones.
