Rhoda Mae Butler, 81, was born March 30,1943 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, to the late Carrie Wallace and the late Richard Butler. She entered her eternal rest on October 18, 2024. Rhoda was educated in the Duquesne Public School System and earned her General Educational Development Certificate (GED) from Goodwill Industry. She attended Community College of Allegheny County on the Northside of Pittsburgh graduated with an Unit Clerk Certificate. She started her career at West Penn Hospital and retired after thirty-one years of service. She accepted Christ at an early age. Her early Christian journey began at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Duquesne, Pennsylvania. Rhoda loved to read, crotchet, knit, and later in life enjoyed coloring and painting. She was a member of a crochet group called Crochet 1 Knit 2. All who knew her knew that she loved her grandchildren and shared their pictures whenever she had a new batch. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
Her life and legacy will forever live in the hearts of those who had the pleasure and opportunity to spend time with her. She leaves to cherish her memories her three loving children, Anthony (Yvette, deceased) Butler, Terrance Butler and Robbie Butler, brother, Ronald (Lynda) Baldwin, sisters, Emma B. Stephens of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, Merri Baldwin of Washington, DC, sister-in-law Elizabeth (Henry, deceased) Baldwin of Pontiac, Michigan, grandchildren, Correal Demery, Robb-Davon (Courtney), Dorrian, Yvette, Anthony, Andrew, Andre and Cory, twenty-five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, Norma Stephens-Pierce, Menelik Stephens, Madonna (Daniel) Odneal, Myrna (Brandon) Ross, Tonya (Tony) Carr, Lawrence, Alison and Ronald L. Baldwin, daughter in law, Kim, along with a host of adopted nieces, nephews and friends. Rhoda Mae Butler was preceded in death by both of her parents, Richard Butler and Carrie Wallace, grandson, Andrew Jr., brothers, Anthony Baldwin and Henry Baldwin Jr.
