Richard Craig Bruce, 60, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on March 27, 2025 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. Richard was the son of the late Mildred Cabbagestalk. Richard was the go-to in the family when it came to advice, conversations and planning family vacations. He met the love of his life, April Darlene Lundy, forty-one years ago, and they just celebrated thirty-three years of marriage. His family says that he thought that he was a pastor, because he loved to pray and talk.
During his time with us, he was a United States Army Veteran and spent a few years stationed in Germany, before being Honorably Discharged. During his life, he was a man of many hats, such as: working at ReCON (transporting many auto parts), working at West Penn (in the dietary department), was educated at Triangle Tech in the HVAC department, had his hand in working at Home Depot, he often worked with his step-father as an electrician, played many sports such as football for Westinghouse High School and Homewood Bulldogs (he also really enjoyed being a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers), he loved to cook and travel with his entire family.
Richard Craig Bruce, leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, April Bruce, children, Richard Darren Bruce, Maria Renee Bruce and Cassaundra Bruce, siblings, Charles (Cheritha) Bruce, Robert (Felice) Bruce, Ronetta Bruce and Ladora (Desmond) Lee, grandchildren, Kemari, Aryss, Marcus, Kendall, Kymorah and Michael, along with a host of family and friends who will truly miss him. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Scott and Mildred Lindsay and brother Michael Bruce.
