Ronald (Sr.) Cabbagestalk

Ronald Cabbagestalk, 70, was born on August 28, 1952, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Hattie Lee Cabbagestalk and late McKeever Cabbagestalk. He attended both South Hills and Wilkinsburg School Districts. After high school he went into the construction industry which he continued up until his later years. He absolutely loved and found joy in building and fixing things, which was truly his passion. Ronald’s favorite pastimes were playing chess, cards, and dominoes. He also loved dancing, throwing a good shindig and being around family and friends. Ronald, loved to spend time with his little granddaughter Harli as well. In 1989, he met the love of his life, Linda Poindexter. They went on to have two children together and they remained together until his passing. Ronald is survived by (7) seven children, Carlita, Angelo (Shirley), Melanie, Amy Lee, Ronald Jr., Brittany (Der-Ral) and Daron, (4) four stepchildren, Chuck, Eboni, Artese and Tameka, (14) fourteen grandchildren and (2) two great-grandchildren. Ronald is also survived by his (4) four brothers, Donald, Barto (Yvonne), Altony and Leon, all from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and his sister Rudene Cooke. Ronald leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his brothers Willie Lee, Eugene, Cornell, Mckeever and Bruce, sister, Mildred Lindsay, best friend Charles Council and stepson Jay Poindexter. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Strong Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LLC., 107 4th Avenue, Rankin, Pennsylvania 15104. Family and friends are welcome to attend visitation at Lighthouse Cathedral, 810 Fisher Street, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15210, Friday, January 6, 2023, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by service.
