Rose Marie (Tutti) Thorne

Rose Marie Thorne, Tutti, 86, of Braddock, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at UPMC McKeesport Hospital on May 3, 2025. Rose Marie was the daughter of the late James Jackson and late Viola Lois Boone. She attended Braddock High School in the community she spent her adult life in as well. Rose was a dedicated woman to her job at MSHA in South Park from 1970 to currently and worked extremely hard for her family and loved ones. She was encouraged by many of her family and friends to retire but if you knew her in any way, she refused to do that.  One of her hobbies was to go spend time at the casino and play her lottery. Rose was a kindhearted woman with a warm heart if she had a chance to get to know you. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Marc) Grover, son, Shaune Thorne Sr., grandchildren, Robert Anderson, Breonna Thorne, Shaune Thorne Jr., great-grandchildren, Majessty Moore, Rose Marie Anderson, Zy'Ara Arlena Marie Thorne, Zyon Thorne, Eliza Thorne, Shamyah Thorne and Malachi Thorne, sister, Michelle Jackson McCord, nephew, Justin McCord, very special friend, Celestine Nicholason, and a host of family and friends who really cared for her. Rose Marie was preceded in death by both of her parents, James Jackson and Viola Lois Boone, her husband, John Albert Thorne Sr., son, John Albert Thorne Jr., brothers, Ronald Jackson and Ralph Jackson.
