Sha’la Lynn Jefferson, 32, passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2026. Sha’la was born on May 27, 1993, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Donald Jefferson and the late Izora Fortson Jefferson. Sha’la was a loving daughter, sister and devoted mother of Izore Jefferson and Mi’kai Watts.
Sha’la attended McKeesport Area High School and later continued her education through Job Corps, where she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Degree, a role she truly loved because it allowed her to care for others.
Known for her warm heart, caring spirit, and unforgivable sense of humor. Sha’la had a way of making people laugh even during difficult times. Her presence brought light and energy to those around her. She was also a fighter, someone who faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience.
Sha’la deeply loved her family and was always willing to help others.
Sha’la leaves behind her children, Izore Jefferson and Mi’kai Watts, father, Donald Jefferson, siblings, Ashkia Helton, Deonta Fortson, Lachell Jefferson, Jezzelle Jefferson, Radawn Jefferson, Najai Fortson, Dawnae Jefferson and Renesha Jefferson.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Izora L. Fortson-Jefferson.
Though her passing was sudden and heartbreaking, her love and the memories she created will live in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is now reunited in heaven with her mother and her family and friends. Find comfort in knowing they are together again. Sha’la will be forever loved, deeply missed and always remembered.
