Sherry Jane Moses

Sherry Jane Moses, 63, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania peacefully passed away at her home on July 26, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Rosezetta Moses. Sherry received her GED from Goodwill Industries. 

She was a woman of many hats in her family. To her grandchildren she had a special technique and knew just the right words to say to open them up and get them to share just about anything with her in order to help them guide through the path of life. She truly was the world to her grandkids. Sherry wanted to help everyone in her community, and they felt the same about her. Her neighbors one time wanted to express their gratitude to her and gave her a card with all of their signatures, to show their support. She enjoyed knitting, cleaning, going to socials and playing cards, listening to music and spending time with all sorts of people (even her fellow cancer treatment friends, who she tried to feed on multiple occasions-she was everyone's favorite). Daily she experienced pain, but she tried to keep it to herself, and she tried to show electrifying energy when possible. "To know her was to love her". Sherry's favorite quote was: If you can't talk to her, then try to find someone to talk to. Some people did not know that she was a strong woman and her daughter's wanted her to know that their mother single handily became sober and clean and recently celebrated two years without drugs or alcohol, to help her become closer to her Lord and Saviour. Sherry was an extremely strong woman.

Sherry will be missed by her daughters, Martia Moses, Johnetta Moses, Keauna Moses and Kayla Moses, sisters, Suzie Jones and Charlene Jennings, grandchildren, Parris, Kenneth, Lahmar (Sherry's caregiver), Aarron, Claudia, Dreaun, Azan, Aveon, Amina, Amiyah, Josiah and Joleel. Sherry is preceded in death by her mother, Rosezetta Moses, sisters, Catherine Jones and Sharon Moses and brother, Randolph Jones.

Sherry will be greatly missed.
