Verley Mae Stevens-Cabbagestalk, 79, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 19, 2024, surrounded by her immediate family members. Verley, affectionately known as Mrs. Mae, was the daughter of the late Ben Stevens and late Annie Sims. Momma Mae was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and then later in life made Pittsburgh her home. To know Mrs. Mae was to love her. All she had in her heart was the love of God and her family. She was the perfect example of peace. She attended Covenant Whosoever Will Church in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, serving with Pastor Johnathan Gamble and Mother Gamble until 1999 and then Mrs. Mae made Lighthouse Cathedral her home for the past (25) twenty-five years and served in any capacity that was needed in the ministry. Her love for her Lord and Savior showed in everything that she done. She truly loved Lady Bishop Barbara Trent and Apostle Maurice (Elder Mary) Trent Jr., along with the entire ministry and members that served under the ministry. When she was with her family, she enjoyed dancing (especially doing the mash potato), also she loved playing cards and bingo, eating and drinking soda. She truly was an example of a phenomenal woman. She took pride in raising her grandchildren and carried them under her wings and loved them as her own along with many other family members, without complaint. Verley Mae Cabbagestalk is survived by her husband, Mark Cabbagestalk Sr., children, Dwight "David" Stevens, Charles Stevens, Marlo Cabbagestalk, Marcus Cabbagestalk, Charlene Stevens, DaeQuanna Stevens, Mark Cabbagestalk Jr., Cornelia Everett and Jessica Everett, a multiple host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family members.
