Victor Levi Rhodes Sr., 69, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Ruth M. Rhodes and late Louis J. Rhodes. When Victor was born, he won a baby contest and from then on you couldn’t tell him he wasn’t a STARCHILD! He grew up in The Hill District and was a graduate of Schenley High School and a member of the United States Armed forces (Air force). Victor was known for his musical and artistic talents, kindness, humor, generosity and his love for Pittsburgh sports (ESPECIALLY THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!). He lived a life full of service, hard work, perseverance, love of family, faith and fun. He attended the Art Institute in his young adult life where he brought so many of his paintings to life. As a teenager he designed t-shirts for his fellow Blukie Dukes Baseball Team. He spent the first part of his career as a construction warehouse supervisor at Wharton supply and later transitioned to becoming a top sales associate for Molloy Lincoln and Mercury, where he won awards for gross sales of the month and year and a top salesman of the year awards as well. Outside of work, he enjoyed watching sports! His love for his Pittsburgh sports teams is unmatched no matter if it’s the Steelers, Penguins or Pirates it was black & gold to this day. He loved having meaningful conversations, writing music, playing his keyboards, talking about sports, good jokes and telling us “What we need to do is”! 3 V will always be remembered for his confidence, his musical talents and his love for his family and friends.
Special thanks to The Love of his life, Sharon Hanner for her emphatic approach towards caring for Victor in the last few years, no matter the circumstances she cared for him with unwavering love, compassion and strength. Her devotion was a constant reminder of what it means to truly honor and cherish another person. Thank you, Maw.
